Train movements in northeast hit following rail roko by Bodo student union

GUWAHATI: Movement of as many as 20 trains, including the Rajdhani and 14 other long distance ones, were hit following a rail road by All Bodo Students Union, seeking separate state of Bodoland at different locations in Assam today.

Northeast Frontier Railway CPRO Pranav Jyoti Sharma said that the rail roko began at 5am today.

"Picketers have blocked railway tracks at Kokrajhar under Alipurduar division and at Dhekiajuli road station under Rangiya division. As a result running of trains have got affected and trains are controlled at various station," he said.


The 12519 Lokmanya Tilak - Kamakhya AC Express is controlled at Chautara from 5.05 am while the 12345 Howrah - Guwahati Saraighat Express is controlled at New Alipurduar.


The 12502 New Delhi - Guwahati Poorvattar Sampark Kranti Express is controlled at New Coochbehar, f15667 Gandhidham - Kamakhya Express is controlled at New Coochbehar, 15769 Alipurduar Jn - Lumding Intercity Express short terminated at Fakiragram and will return to Alipurduar Jn.

The 15771 Alipurduar Jn - Kamakhya Intercity Express is also short terminated at New Coochbehar and will return to Alipurduar Jn.


The 13247 Kamakhya - Rajendranagar Capital Express is controlled at Goalpara Town, the 25658 Silchar - Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express is controlled at New Bongaigaon , the 15903 Dibrugarh - Chandigarh Express is controlled at New Bongaigaon, the 15909 Avadh Assam Express is controlled at Bijni, the 12435 Dibrugarh - New Delhi Rajdhani Express is controlled at Rangiya, the 15601 Poorvattar Sampark Kranti Express is controlled at Boko, the 15960 Dibrugarh - howrah Kamrup Express is controlled at Guwahati , the 12510 Guwahati - Bangalore Express is controlled at Rangiya, the 12423 Dibrugarh - New Delhi Rajdhani Express is controlled at Gauhati, tbe14055 Dibrugarh - Delhi Brahmaputra Mail will be controlled at Lumding. The 15959 Howrah - Dibrugarh Kamrup Express is controlled at New Jalpaiguri , the 14056 Delhi - Dibrugarh Brahmaputra Mail will be controlled at New Jalpaiguri, 13248 Rajendranagar - Kamakhya will be controlled at Aluabari road and 15904 Chandigarh - Dibrugarh Express will be controlled at New Jalpaiguri, a NFR statement said.
