ROUGH CUT. NO REPORTER NARRATION. Soccer fans celebrated in central Reykjavik on Monday (October 9) after Iceland became the smallest country ever to qualify for the World Cup. Team members paraded on stage to the delight of hundreds of fans after beating Kosovo 2-0 to book a place at their first Wold Cup in Russia next year as winners of Group I. Iceland has a population of about 350,000 while the previous smallest country to have reached a World Cup was Trinidad & Tobago, in 2006, which had 1.3 million people.
