State government is harassing us, say Gurgaon private schools

GURGAON: Haryana Shikshan Sansthan Sangathan, a private school association in the state, has alleged that the state government has failed to fulfil promises made during the elections and was using several tactics to harass private schools.
"The state government has taken the recent Gurgaon incident as an excuse to exploit and harass private schools. Its attitude makes it look like the managements of all private schools are responsible for such cases," said Yashpal Yadav, state president of the association, referring to the killing of a Class 2 student at Ryan International School, Bhondsi. He added the association had approached the state education minister but no notification was issued.
Referring to the PGI Rohtak case where a child went missing, it said the government did not hold anyone responsible in such cases as PGI was a government organisation. "The state government must remember that if things stay like this, they will not have the support of private schools in the next elections," said Yadav.
