Copper and nickel prices gained at the non-ferrous metals market here today on stockists' buying amid good demand from industrial users.
However, brass, zinc and lead slipped following sluggish demand from alloy industries.
Nickel rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 735 from Monday's close of Rs 730.
Copper cable, copper scrap heavy and copper billets moved up by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 430, Rs 420 and Rs 458 as against Rs 426, Rs 416 and Rs 454, respectively.
Copper armiture inched up to Rs 407 per kg.
However, brass sheet cuttings went down by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 317 as compared Rs 320 yesterday.
Zinc and lead edged down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 242 and Rs l63 as against Rs 244 and Rs 165 previously.
Brass utensils scrap softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 300.
