BENGALURU: AICC General Secretary in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka K C Venugopal is set to make Bengaluru his second home. The Congress Lok Sabha member from Alappuzha in Kerala is set to rent a luxury flat in Bengaluru.State Congress leaders have finalised a 5-bedroom flat in Embassy Habitat Apartment complex in Vasanth Nagar near Mount Carmel college for Venugopal’s stay during his visits to city. Venugopal and 4 AICC Secretaries who have been appointed as in-charge of 4 revenue divisions in the state would stay here during their visit to Bengaluru. Venugopal is expected to move in here soon, a senior KPCC functionary told Express.
The party has already provided an Innova Christa car for Venugopal and would bear a monthly rent up to
R90,000. The party had to find a separate accommodation for Venugopal as he is expected spend more time in the city to oversee party’s poll preparations and interact more frequently with the Chief Minister and KPCC President. The apartment has been finalised after considering various factors like proximity to KPCC office on Queen’s Rad where Venugopal usually chairs most of the party meetings.
