Jexcy Jarquin gave Costa Rica the lead in their FIFA U-17 World Cup Group C match in Goa but Guinea equalized minutes later through Fandje Toure. Andres Gomez once again gave Costa Rica the lead in the second half but once again the lead was squandered with Ibrahima Soumah scoring in last 10 minutes. Both teams lost their first games and needed a win to boost their chances of making it to the round of 16. Costa Rica and Guinea will now have to win their third group game to remain in contention.
