There have been rumours doing the rounds in tinsel town that Priyanka Chopra might be cast in Rakesh Sharma biopic, but no confirmation had come. However, now the Quantico actress has finally signed the film and for the first time, she will be seen working with Aamir Khan.
Yes, according to a report in DNA, Priyanka has given her confirmation to the project. However, as per the earlier reports, she will not be playing the role of Aamir’s wife in the film. Interestingly, Priyanka too will be seen in the role of an astronaut as for the first time Priyanka and Aamir will be sharing screen space. The film is tentatively titled as Salute.

Moreover, a source was quoted as telling DNA, “Well, there was some interest from her side. Because she hasn’t ever worked with Aamir Khan.” Well, it will be interesting to see Priyanka on the big screen after 2 years.
Apart from Mary Kom, PeeCee has also signed late astronaut Kalpana Chawla biopic. The source added, “Priyanka met the makers and has asked them to start the pre-production work on the film. This will be the first film to go on floors right after Quantico if all goes well.”
