There were confirmed reports of the actor working with producers Shyalaja Nag and Suresh for a project directed by Pon Kumar. And then we heard that Pavan Wadeyar will helm a project produced by Sandesh N and starring Darshan; this was to be a movie titled Wodeyar, in which the actor was to play a boxer.

There is an update though. While, Darshan’s film with Pon Kumar gets the go-ahead, the one with Pavan Wadeyar has been scrapped. Instead the actor is all set to do a remake of a Tamil hit.

Darshan will be reprising the role of Ajith in Veeram, in a remake which is to be helmed by MD Sridhar. The director confirms this news and says, “There had been plans of working with Darshan after Pokiri, and Bulbul, and now we have decided on this remake. We finalised on this project only a few days ago and I have already started preparing for it. I will kickstart the project once Darshan has completed work on Kurukshetra.”

Another interesting bit of information is that Darshan has decided to work on two projects simultaneously. He will be dividing his time between two films for 30 days each, for the next few months. The actor, before leaving for Hyderabad where he is shooting for Kurukshetra, had a round of discussions with the producers before deciding on this. So now the ball is in the filmmakers’ court, to ensure that the projects take off on time.
