Sai Baba’s padukasto arrive on Thurs

Panaji: As part of centenary year commemorations of Saibaba Samadhi, the sacred padukas of Saibaba of Shirdi will be brought to Goa this week for a Darshan Sohala.

The original padukas of Saibaba will be received at Patradevi and will be taken by devotees in a semi-open vehicle to Bambolim. The heavily-guarded padukas are expected to leave Patradevi at around 2 pm and taken in a procession lasting a couple of hours. At around 12 stops along the way, devotees will welcome the padukas with aartis.

The padukas are expected to reach Shyama Prasad Mukherjee stadium by 12 midnight. A religious and cultural program has been planned for devotees.


The Kakad Aarti will begin at 6 am on Friday followed by the Abhishek pooja, a Sai Arashana, Sai Upasana, Madhyan aarti, Sai Bhajans, Sai Swar, Sai Geet, Sai Palkhi dindi, Dhooparati, Sai Nrutya Sohala and Omkar Swaroopa by Pt Suresh Wadkar.


On Saturday, the Kakad Aarti and Abhishek Pooja will be followed by the Gomant Sai, Sai Swaranand, Sai Prasad, Madhyan Aarti, Sai Bhajans, Sao Charitra Kathanak.


Chief minister Manohar Parrikar and Ayush minister Shripad Naik have been invited for the Sai Satkar Sohala. The sacred padukas will leave Goa early Sunday morning.
