Panaji: Urging private sector and public sector banks to finance entrepreneurs in the state, Union minister of state for AYUSH, Shripad Naik, said that inclusive entrepreneurship would help achieve financial security for the state and the country. Addressing bankers in the presence of entrepreneurs, Naik recommended that banks should set a target for disbursal of loans under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana so that more beneficiaries could be identified.

A Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana promotion camp was organized at the Inox complex in the city where several banks offered and disbursed Mudra loans of up to Rs 10 lakh.

Loans to the tune of Rs 81.69 crore have been approved and disbursed to 7,319 beneficiaries in the state till date.
