Mumbai: A Malad youth Hardik Bora was beaten up at a club in Juhu by a 28-year-old man, Farhan Mandahi and his friends. Farhan smashed a beer bottle on Bora’s head early on Sunday morning. The incident took place around 4 am at R Adda in Juhu.
According to Mumbai Mirror, Hardik met his ex-girlfriend who was partying with Farhan at the club. Farhan got into a heated argument with Bora, when the girl joined Bora for a drink.
Soon, things went out of hand. A fight started and the girl supported Bora. This angered Farhan and, in a fit of rage, Farhan picked up a beer bottle and smashed it on Bora’s head. Bora suffered grievous injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The bouncers at the club intervened later and asked the accused to leave. The cops were informed of incident by the hospital authorities.
The Juhu police are trying to obtain the CCTV footage. The nightclub has permission to function till 3 am. “A case under the Indian Penal Code sections 34 (common intention), 326 (causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapon) and 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) has been registered against Mandahi and the girl. They will be nabbed soon,” said an officer from Juhu police station to Mumbai Mirror.
