In a major operation, the security forces have gunned down top Jaish-e-Mohammad commander Khalid. The encounter took place at Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to media reports, top Jesh-e-Mohhammad operational chief Khalid is believed to be trapped in a School after hit by a bullet and failed attempt to attack an army convoy.
Khalid has been active since 2016 and is among the top five terror commanders, has been identified as the mastermind behind the BSF camp attack in Srinagar.
Khalid was leading a ring of 12 terrorists, 10 Pakistanis and 2 locals, who were targeting high-valued security establishments.
His name had cropped up for the first time in October 2016, when the Army busted a JeM module in Baramulla that was responsible for an attack on an army convoy in which two Army men and one cop were killed.
