Indore: Cycling enthusiast Dr Raju Keswani brought laurels to city by creating world record and became the ‘First Super Randonneur to perform mountain cycling at highest motorable road’. Dr Keswani received certificate from Golden Book of World Record for his feat a function in city on Sunday. Keswani peddled from Leh (3,500 metres altitude) to Khardunga La 5359 (metres altitude) in 12 hours to create the record.
Talking about his love for cycling, Keswani said, “Cycling is a childhood love for most of us, but with stressful life and changing time, we forget our hobbies and passion.” He rediscovered cycling as his passion again in 2009. “Initially I started cycling as a way to stay healthy, but soon I discovered its various benefits,” Keswani said. He elaborated that cycling not only made him feel active and healthy but also proud of not polluting air.
“It is high time, we start thinking about our actions and considering before emitting a cloud full of polluted gases in our environment,” Keswani said. While keeping active and motivating others to cycle for environment, he always opts for cycling to nearby places.
