Ghana clash with the United States of America in a battle for the top sport in group A of 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Delhi’s Nehru Stadium today. India and Colombia are the other teams in this group. Both USA and Ghana won their opening games. USA, who defeated India in their opening match, lead the group by virtue of a better goal difference. USA got off to the ideal start in the FIFA U-17 World Cup, defeating hosts India in front of a jam-packed crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi.
They currently sit atop the Group A standings ahead of Ghana, who have the same number of points but an inferior goal difference after their 1-0 win against Colombia.
Both sides will now look to seal their spot in the round of 16 when they go up against one another in what is sure to be a hotly-contested affair. In previous encounters in FIFA U-17 World Cups, Ghana have beaten the USA twice.
