Medical Simulation Corporation Features Patient Safety and Quality Programs and Services at NPSF 2012

DENVER, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Medical Simulation Corporation (MSC) is proud to participate in the 14th Annual National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF) Patient Safety Congress, May 23-25, in National Harbor, MD. MSC will highlight its full suite of Quality Initiative Programs, competency assessment services, and comprehensive training event services in booths 328/330.

MSC's Quality Initiative Programs accelerate the adoption of evidence-based medicine in hospitals. MSC's QI solutions have been utilized by hospitals nationwide to improve the competence and confidence of nurses and physicians in providing evidence-based care. A California-based healthcare system was able to save 1,296 patient lives and $47.4 million following implementation of MSC's Sepsis Program as part of a sepsis quality improvement initiative (P. MSC will provide hands-on, interactive demonstrations of the following Quality Initiative Programs at NPSF. Each program includes eLearning, hands-on simulation, and pre- and post-course individual competency assessments aligned with the evidence-based guidelines for care in a particular clinic topic.   • Venous Thromboembolism
  • Decompensated Heart Failure
  • Stroke
  • Door to Balloon Time
  • Moderate Sedation
