Baldwin staff protest teacher's transfer

The teachers of Baldwin Boys’ High School boycotted classes on Monday, when the school reopened after vacation, to protest against the transfer of a senior teacher in the institution.

During the Dasara vacation, one of the senior teachers who has been with the institution for over three decades was issued a transfer order to a Baldwin school in Kolar with immediate effect.

The order issued on September 26, does not mention the reason for the transfer.

On Monday, around 50 teachers of the senior classes held a protest in the office of the school.

The teachers have resolved to continue their protests on Tuesday, too, until the transfer order is withdrawn.
