Paraguay struck early against New Zealand in their Group B match of the FIFA U-17 World cup with a superb free-kick in the second minute of the game. New Zealand though equalised in the 20th minute with an Alexis Durate own goal. The South Americans won their opening match of the tournament 3-2 against Mali while New Zealand drew against Turkey .
