Three terrorists killed in Shopian encounter

SRINAGAR: Three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Keller area of Shopian district in south Kashmir on Monday, police said.
Acting on a tip-off about presence of terrorists in Gatipora village, a joint team of Indian Army, Special Operations Group of Jammu and Kashmir Police and Central Reserve Police Force cordoned off the area. Seeing the forces close in, the terrorists opened fire.
Three terrorists — Asif, Zahid alias Ubaid and Irfan Ahmad — were killed in the ensuing clash, said DGP S P Vaid. All of them were Pulwama residents, Vaid added.
