Robbers target homes, steal cash, jewellery

GURUGRAM: Two houses, one in Palam Vihar and other in Sushant Lok, have beentargeted by robbers when the house owners were away.
Also, in Sector 23 of Palam Vihar, the house of Meenakshi Durani was burgled and two gold bangles, two gold jewellery sets, a pair of diamond earrings, a gold bangle, several silver ornaments, an i-pad, a laptop, expensive speakers and cash worth Rs two lakh were stolen by thieves. Durani, who works in a private organisation, left her home around 10.30am on Saturday, and returned at 8.40pm. She found her belongings scattered when she cane back from the office.
She registered an FIR at Palam Vihar police station. SHO, Parveen Malik said, police are scanning the CCTV footage.
In Sushant Lok, the house of an airline employee was robbed on Friday, when she and her husband had gone for work. Chandni Angurala, told police when she returned from work in the evening, she found the lock of the door broken. Angurala claimed four diamond rings, four gold rings, a solitaire, and many other jewellery items were stolen along with various foreign currency coins, 1,750 Dirhams and 800 US Dollars. The accused have been booked under sections 380 and 454 of IPC at Sector 56 police station.
