Gondal: Two persons were stabbed when the car they were travelling in came in the way of a two-wheeler in Gondal on Sunday night. The two accused who had committed the crime were arrested on Monday.

According to the police, of the victims, one was Sawan Dharuk (24), the son of famous industrialist and BJP leader Ramesh Dharuk, in Gondal. "Sawan was in his car driven by his driver Rafiq Sipai. Suddenly, a two-wheeler crossed their way and Sipai slammed on his brakes. The two unidentified riders on the two-wheeler stopped Sawan's car and accusing Sipai of rash driving, started beating him up. When Sawan intervened, one of the assailants flashed out a knife and stabbed him in his hand. Sipai was also stabbed in his back and stomach," an official from Gondal police station said.

Both the victims had noted down the registration number of the two-wheeler driven by the assailants and when they gave it to the police, the cops did not take too long to arrest the accused.

"On the basis of the registration number of the two-wheeler, we started investigation and found out that the vehicle was being driven by Dharam Jhalu (21) and Nischit Sumara (19), both residents of Gondal. We traced them to Gondal railway station and arrested them on Monday morning," the official added.
