Some stocks cracked defying the bullish trend of market.
NEW DELHI: Equity benchmarks were trading in the positive territory, with Sensex gaining over 120 points and Nifty trading above 10,000-level. However, Steel Exchange (down 14.20 per cent), Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) (down 12.07 per cent) and Sun Pharma Advanced Research Company (down 10.51 per cent) cracked over 10 per cent on NSE, defying the prevailing bullish trend of the market.

Mangalam Timber (down 9.96 per cent), Parabolic Drugs (down 8.63 per cent), Sharon Bio-Med (down 5 per cent), SAB Events & Governance Now Media (down 5 per cent), TV Vision (down 5 per cent) and Sri Adhikari (down 5 per cent) declined over 5 per cent.

Benchmark Nifty50 index was 34 points up at 10,014, while the 30-share Sensex was 86 points up at 31,900 around 10.10 am (IST).

Shares of ICICI Bank (Rs 97.03 crore), Tata Steel (Rs 76.47 crore) and Sun Pharma (Rs 65.14 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of value on NSE in Monday's early trade.

On the other hand, shares of ICICI Bank (number of shares traded: 0.38 crore), Tata Power (0.15 crore) and Tata Steel (0.14 crore) were trading as the most active stocks in terms of volume.

On the NSE, 1095 stocks were advancing, compared with 447 stocks declining and 435 stocks remaining unchanged.
