8 industrial licences for explosives approved: DIPP

The commerce and industry ministry today said it has approved eight industrial licences for explosives with proposed investment of Rs 51 crore and expected to create 1,171 jobs.

"Eight industrial licences for explosives approved with proposed investment of Rs 51 crore and proposed employment of 1,171 numbers," the department of industrial policy and promotion (DIPP) said in a tweet.


Industrial licensing was abolished for most of the industries but permits are needed for defence and explosives segments.
