Mahindra KUV100 first debuted in India in January 2016 and it was Mahindra’s first attempt at the smaller SUV space. Mahindra called it as the Kool Utility Vehicle, however, technically the car is still a hatchback. Mahindra KUV 100 attracted more young buyers and to keep the sales high this diwali the company will launch it’s first major upgrade on the Mahindra KUV100 and if reports are to be believed then it would be called as the KUV100 NXT. The small SUV Mahindra KUV100 NXT is all set to debut in India tomorrow and is expected to be priced about 15,000-20,000 over the current Mahindra KUV100. We expect Mahindra’s KUV100 to get a few minor exterior changes like updated front and rear bumper extra cladding around the fog lamp cluster. KUV100 might also get fresh alloy wheels and an aluminum finished skid plates at both front and rear to give an enhanced SUV appeal.
The revised front grille on Mahindra KUV100 NXT has been inspired from the Mahindra XUV500 SUV and the overall the car looks a bit longer. However, its unlikely that the SUV will undergo any kind of major dimension changes. We expect more variants to get the all-black interiors with silver touches and base and other variants to get interiors finished in grey. Mahindra KUV100 will continue to get the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports navigation.

Mahindra KUV100 facelift will not get mechanical changes. Currently it is offered in seven petrol and diesel engine variants. KUV100 is powered by a 1.2L petrol engine that sheds a power of 82 bhp and 115 Nm of torque mated with a 5-Speed gearbox. The 1.2L diesel engine on the KUV100 has a displacement of 1198 cc, power of 77 bhp and torque output of 190Nm mated to the same 5-Speed transmission.
Mahindra KUV100 has been a successful model for the company. In financial year 2016-17 the company sold a total of 35,698 units of KUV100 in the domestic market and exported about 1669 units. The KUV100 NXT facelift has already begun production and the cars are now reaching the Mahindra dealerships across the country.
