HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gave a call to the workers of Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) to thrash those corrupt officials, who seek bribes to sanction leave and release monetary benefits to the employees, with footwear.
“It’s very disgraceful that you people are being forced to grease the palm of some of your higher officials to get your employment benefits such as availing sick leave, making a claim under medically unfit scheme and getting a good residential quarter. Tomorrow onwards, thrash those officials, who demand bribes from you, with chappals,” Chief Minister told Singareni employees.
While congratulating the TRS affiliated trade union, TBGKS, for its victory in the just-held Singareni polls, KCR gave a clarion call to the coalmine workers not to tolerate corrupt officials in SCCL. “I have come to know that the present Medical Board in SCCL is imposing undue hardships to employees, who approach it to avail medically unfit benefits. Is `6 lakh bribe needed to get approval from Medical Board? Teach such corrupt officials a befitting lesson and do not encourage bribes in SCCL,” Rao told Singareni workers belonging to TBGKS.
“I will undertake Singareni yatra, soon, in order to witness your woes. I will undergo medical tests in the Singareni hospital in which you regularly avail medical treatments, so as to personally know how you’re being treated there,” he announced.
TRS shocked by TBGKS’ defeat at Mandamarri
Mancherial: TBGKS losing Mandamarri division in SCCL trade union elections has shocked TSR. TRS leadership is surprised at the defeat as it was one of the strongest division of TBGKS. Interestingly, Chennur TRS MLA N Odallu represents division and was also the former honorary president of TBGKS. TBGKS won Bellampelly and Srirampur divisions and Opposition alliance of AITUC won Mandamarry division.
