Equity benchmarks pared gains as selling emerged in pharma, oil, realty and IT stocks.
NEW DELHI: Nearly 30 stocks, including Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra), Steel Exchange, SAB Events & Governance Now Media, TV Vision, Sri Adhikari, Adhunik Industries, Piramal Phytocare, Nagarjuna Oil, Amara Raja Batteries, Tera Software and Moser Baer touched their new 52-week lows on NSE in Monday's trade, defying the positive market sentiments.

However, Nearly 80 stocks such as TVS Electronics, Sanwaria Agro, Sree Rayalaseema, Gujarat Alkalie, Sundaram Brake, Arrow Textiles, Nandan Denim, HEG Ltd, The Grob Tea Company, Aptech and Everest hit their fresh 52-week highs today.

Equity benchmarks pared gains as selling emerged in pharma, oil, realty and IT stocks.

The Nifty50 index was trading flat, 6 points up at 9,986, while the 30-share Sensex was 36 points up at 31,850 around 11.45 am (IST).

PowerGrid, Aurobindo Pharm, ONGC, GAIL, Indiabulls Housing Finance, BPCL, HPCL, Vedanta, HCL Tech, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries and Adani Ports SEZ were among the top losers in the Nifty50 index.

However, Dr Reddy's Labs, IndusInd Bank, Coal India, UltraTech Cement, Tata Steel, Cipla, Asian Paints, Bharti Infratel and Hindustan Unilever were among the top gainers in the index.

On the NSE, 972 stocks were advancing, compared with 626 stocks declining and 382 stocks remaining unchanged.
