GURUGRAM: Three women were arrested from the MG Road for allegedly creating ruckus and disrupting traffic in a drunken state on Sunday night.
The women continued to quarrel with each other even after police intervened to refrain them from indulging in altercation. The police however say that the women did not seem intoxicated.
An FIR has been registered and three women identified as Nisha, Palak and Pooja, native of Kolkata, were produced before a city court where they granted bail, police said. Ruckus and affray is a routine on the MG road but especially on weekends.
Around 11.50pm on Sunday night police was alerted that three women were quarreling among themselves in front of the JMD mall on the MG road and also cause traffic disruptions.
"When we tried to intervene, the women started to misbehave with the cops. We had to call the women cops to stop the quarrel but they did not give in easily. They misbehaved even with women constables. Finally we had to detain them. They did not seem drunk and the reason behind the fight is not clear," ASI Surender Singh said.
