
Amitabh Bachchan will turn 75 on October 11. It is a big day for Big B! Even the whole nation is looking forward to celebrate the birthday of the legendary actor, However, Bachchan said that he will not be celebrating the festival of lights Diwali or his birthday this year. Big B took to Twitter and wrote, “Just for your information, no Diwali celebration this year.” Though he didn’t give the reason, his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai passed away in March after several days of illness reported IANS.
The megastar on his official blog mentioned that he will not be celebrating his birthday. He wrote, “No, there is no celebration of any kind for the 75th and there’s no possibility of my presence here in the city. They speculate…They aver, they get to know from their ‘sources’, details which can be completely wrong at times… one wishes to be those sources – for we, never ever know who or what they are.”

As per a report by India Today, the superstar along with his family will be taking off for Maldives where son Abhishek Bachchan, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and daughter Shweta Nanda are also expected to join him and Jaya Bachchan. Bachchan is currently hosting the ninth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC).
Bachchan will next be seen in “Thugs of Hindostan”, which marks his first onscreen collaboration with Aamir Khan, reported PTI. Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the Yash Raj Films project will hit the theatres on November 7 next year.
