Mee Seva centres to handle all power consumer-related services

GUNTUR: Andhra Pradesh State Power Distribution Corporation Limited (APSPDCL) SE B Jayabharat Rao has stated that all consumer-related services pertaining to APSPDCL have been transferred to Mee Seva centres as per the instructions of the higher authorities.
“Hence, the Consumer Service Centre (CSC) located near Tellakula Jalayya Polisetty Somasundaram College (TJPS) College of Guntur and also 18 CSCs available at various sub-division headquarters have been closed,” he said. Rao said that APSPDCL had rendered services to consumers through 192 sub-division centres in the district. “The consumers had to travel long distances to file complaints or pay electricity bills and the higher authorities decided to entrust the responsiblity to Mee Seva staff in the district from September 26,” he said.
The SE said that consumers would benefit from this move as they can get 23 types of services like address change, additional electric poles, change of service lane, complaint cell and other problems redressed through Mee Seva services.
