Central Vigilance Commissioner K. V. Chowdary will receive Ramineni Foundation’s this year’s Vishshista Puraskaram , at a function to be held at ‘A’ Convention hall in city on October 12.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his counterpart from Goa Manohar Parrikar will be the chief guests on the occasion. The Foundation was founded in 1995 by the late Dr. Ramineni Ayyanna Chowdary in Chincinnati of Ohio State in US to protect and promote the monumental heritage of Indian culture and ideals of Hinduism. The Foundation annually felicitates valiant, relentless and altruistic efforts of people from various walks of life for their outstanding work.

“Dean, School of Medical Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Prof. Geeta K. Vemuganti, popular Telugu cinema artist R. Narayana Murthy and Telugu drama-theatre artiste and director R. Nageswara Rao (Surabhi Babji) will receive Vishesha Puraskarams,” Pathurhi Nagabhushanam and Dharmapracharak Ramineni, convenor and chairman of the Foundation, told a press conference here on Sunday.

Ministers Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, P. Manikyala Rao, P. Pulla Rao and Kollu Ravindra, MPs Kesineni Srinivas and Gokaraju Gangaraju, MLAs D. Narendra Kumar and Gadde Ramamohan and Vijayawada Mayor Koneru Sridhar are likely to attend the awards presentation function, they said.
