GURUGRAM: The leopard rescued from the Maruti Suzuki plant in Manesar was released in the Aravalis in the early hours of Saturday. The rescued leopard was released in the wild after a medical examination. "The leopard was found to be perfectly healthy. We released it in the Aravalis," said Vinod Kumar, conservator of forest, Gurgaon circle. But panic gripped the villages of Kasan, Kakrola and Bans as as villagers claimed another leopard sighting. The forest department, however, said it appeared to be a mistake. "We have not got any such report. Many times, people mistake hyenas and other animals for a leopard," Kumar said.
