3-day science exhibition at IMMT from Oct 9

BHUBANESWAR: The CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) here will host a three-day science exhibition on its premises from October 9 to showcase CSIR's contributions to the nation in the last 75 years. The exhibition is concluding part of CSIR's Platinum Jubilee Celebrations that kicked off on September 26 at New Delhi.The exhibition will demonstrate CSIR's achievements in 14 areas that include over 500 technologies and products expected to provide opportunities for students, farmers and entrepreneurs of the State.

Minister for Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Prafulla Samal will inaugurate the exhibition as chief guest of CSIR Foundation Day celebration at IMMT on October 9. The exhibition is open for public and will have a host of attractions for school and college students, researchers, academicians, farmers, business persons and entrepreneurs.  Visitors can have a live science experience during the visit to the exhibition that will be open from 10 am to 5 pm on all three days.

The exhibition includes science exhibits, popular science lectures, interaction with scientists and science quiz competitions. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is country's largest autonomous public research organisation. The IMMT is a premier research laboratory of CSIR in the eastern region.
