HYDERABAD: With TBGKS winning the Singareni trade union election hands down, all eyes are now on the future political moves of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. Speculation is again rife among political circles on the possibility of Rao going for  Nalgonda Lok Sabha bypoll to demoralise the opposition parties in the run-up to the 2019 general election.

However, according to sources, with prime minister Modi planning to hold simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and state Assemblies next year, Rao  is said to be not very keen on toying with the idea of testing the waters by going in for a byelection. For now, he is said to be wary of ordering a bypoll to Nalgonda Lok Sabha seat, which is now being represented by Gutha Sukhender Reddy, who crossed over to the ruling party after winning the 2014 poll on Congress ticket.
