4 students die as speeding SUV overturns in Greater Noida

GREATER NOIDA: A speeding SUV carrying 10 students of Galgotias University overturned hitting the divider of Yamuna Expressway's service lane, killing four occupants on the spot while two others were fatally wounded, on Sunday afternoon.
There were four girls and six boys in the Mahindra Xylo when the accident took place near Noida International University cut in Dankaur at 2:00 pm.
The accident was so severe that the car was badly damaged and all windshields were shattered. The right front-tyre was found burst while the screws of two rear wheels were extremely loose after the accident.
Sharif Ahmad, a survivor, said that all the students had attended the class and decided to visit Ansal Plaza mall in Greater Noida. Students, faculty members and officials of Galgotias University also reached the hospital after receiving the information.
Farmood Ali Pundeer, SHO Dankaur police station, said that the bodies have been sent for post mortem. "We are trying to contact the family members of the victims and the deceased. We have not received any complaint in this regard," he said.
