Jana Sena Party’s office-bearers at a meeting in Vijayawada on Saturday | Express

VIJAYAWADA: The Jena Sena Party is all set to stir up AP politics. Its official media spokesperson P Hari Prasad on Saturday announced that party chief Pawan Kalyan will tour the two Telugu states in two months in a rally named ‘Praja Yatra’.    The selection of the party’s content editor and official spokesperson was conducted at a meeting here on Saturday. Around one lakh fans and applicants attended the selection process.

Hari Prasad said Jena Sena’s political activities would start soon. He added that there is no relation between the now-defunct Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) set up by Pawan Kalyan’s  elder brother K Chiranjeevi and the Jana Sena.

Jena Sena party vice-president K Mahendra Reddy said the party is not supporting any other party and it works on people’s agenda, as the party worked for problems like the kidney issue at Srikakulam. Jena Sena party official members said Pawan’s fans and public would give an apt reply to the ministers who said the party had no agenda.

Pawan’s message to fans

Meanwhile, in a message to Janasena cadre and fans, Pawan Kalyan said that he is striving for strengthening the party from grassroot level with the sole aim of championing the people’s problems.

He said there would be some self-centric forces. There is no need to react to such people, he said. The actor said even if some personal criticism is levelled against him, the party’s response should be in a dignified manner.

He said he wants the party cadre and his fans to act to show other parties that the Jana Sena is different from other political parties.   The actor said he believes that politics should be free of caste, religion and regional sentiments. He said for Jana Sena, humanity is the religion and social good its ultimate aim.

He said any spontaneous and knee-jerk reactions to the criticism levelled against the party or him will only be counterproductive. Hence the cadres and the fans need to maintain cool even when provoked by others.
