22-year-old man stabbed by loan sharks
tnn | Oct 9, 2017, 04:00 ISTRajkot: A man was beaten up and stabbed by two money lenders in Dhebar Road area on Saturday. Police booked Sagar Gadhvi and his brother for the crime on the complaint of Majid Dalwani (22), a resident of Fatema Manjil in Bhastiwad on Sunday. Police are yet to identity the brother of the accused.
According to police, Sagar called Dalwani at his office and beat him up and stabbed him. "In his complaint, Dalwani said that he had taken Rs 30,000 from the Gadhvi brothers on credit on daily interest of Rs 1,000. After a few instalments when Dalwani was unable to pay the interest, the Gadhvi brothers called him at their office and attacked him. We have booked the Gadhvi brothers under the money lenders act," said an official from Bhaktinagar police station.
Meanwhile, one Sanjay Maru (24), who was present at the office of the Gadhvis at the time of the incident, lodged a complaint against Majid. Maru's complaint stated that in the ensuing fight with the Gadhvi brothers when he tried to intervene, Dalwani injured him with a knife.
