25-year-old stabbed, dies in hospital

Jaipur: In a gruesome incident in the Walled City area, a 25-year-old youth was stabbed multiple times by unidentified assailants and left to die near a secluded place in Brahmpuri late on Friday night. Papu Ram was found gasping for breath and profusely bleeding when a few people spotted him near a Hanuman temple in Chota Akhara area of Brahmpuri.
"Locals rushed him to the hospital in the early hours of Saturday where he succumbed to his injuries," said Pratapmal Kedia, ACP, Amber. Papu was a native of Barmer district and had come to Jaipur a few days ago to work at a garment shop. There were several injuries on the deceased's body, the ACP said. "He was writhing in pain; somebody heard his cries and rushed him to the hospital. The doctors informed the police. A case has been filed against unidentified assailants," Kedia said. tnn
