India vs Australia T20I LIVE: Aussies lose top order, reduced to 111/6 after 17 overs

This is the loveblog of the first fixture in India's 3-match T20 International series against Australia. Stay tuned for updates.

India vs Australia T20I LIVE: Aussies lose top order, reduced to 111/6 after 17 overs

20:11 OUT! Bumrah comes in to bowl the 18th over and strikes at once with a typical skidder to Paine. The Aussie wicket-keeper misses the line and finds his stumps toppled. Australia are now 111/6 after 17 overs.

20:10 SIX! Paine goes after Bhuvaneshwar and clears the square-leg fence. He finally seems to be getting a measure of the pitch here.

20:09 FOUR! Paine gets one away to the fence and gives some respite to the Aussies.

20:05 With that, Kuldeep Yadav brings his spell for the match to a close. 2/16 in four overs is not bad at all and the young man will be proud of the way he stepped up today. For a country that produced some of the world's best wrist spinners, Australia certainly seem to be struggling a lot against Kuldeep at the moment. Score is 99/5 after 16 overs.

20:03 That's the end of probably the most eventful over of the match so far. Paine got three lives off Chahal's bowling in the over, a catch missed by Chahal himself, a stumping missed by Dhoni and a catch missed on the boundary. Two runs came off it. Australia are now 95/5 after 15 overs.

19:59 End of another good over for India. Australia are now 92/5 at the end of 14 overs.

19:58 Tim Paine is the new man in.

19:56 OUT! The Aussies are certainly having some trouble here. Travis Head perishes after dragging one back on to the stumps. Pandya gets his first wicket of the match. Australia are now 89/5.

19:54 Only 2 runs of that over and another wicket. Kuldeep Yadav is certainly proving how good he is in the shortest format of the game. Australia are now 88/4 after 13 overs.

19:51 OUT! Kuldeep Yadav comes back to bowl and strikes immediately. Moises Henriques falls after adding just 8 to the total. Australia are now 87/4. Dan Christian is the new man in.

19:47 Pandya is now back into the attack.

19:45 As we see most often in cricket, a good wicket-taking over followed by another good, quiet over. Chahal backs Yadav up, gives away only 3 runs of his over. Australia are now 80/3 after 11 overs.

19:43 End of a fine over by Kuldeep Yadav. Only 5 runs and a wicket off it. Australia are now 76/3 at the end of 10 overs with 2 new batsmen in the middle. India will be looking to make the most of this situation here.

19:41 OUT! How good was that delivery from Kuldeep Yadav? Flat and full and Finch had no clue where it was. The ball crashes into the stumps and Australia are now 76/3.

19:38 Chahal has managed to pull things back after that six. End of the over and 10 runs off it. Australia are now 72/2.

19:36 SIX! Finch goes after Chahal and clears the fence with ease. That's the first six of the match, if you would believe that!

19:35 That's the end of a good, tight over from Kuldeep Yadav. Australia are 62/2.

19:32 Left arm chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav has the ball in hand. The young spinner has been brought on in this match in place of left arm orthodox spinner Axar Patel. Australia are 57/2.

19:31 Travis Head is the new batsman. The Aussies now have a useful right hand-left hand combination out in the middle.

19:29 OUT! Just as he would have hoped, Chahal picks up a wicket in his very first over. The victim is Maxwell and it wasn't a ball a bowler would normally expect a wicket on. But the belligerent batsman is gone nonetheless. Australia are 56/2.

19:27 Yuzvendra Chahal is the new bowler. The young wrist spinner has bowled well for India recently and will hope to get a breakthrough here.

19:25 That's the end of the sixth over and Australia are 49/1. Pandya conceded 13 runs off the over, including two boundaries.

19:24 After two overs without a boundary, Finch gets Pandya away for a couple of scorching boundaries. The opener is looking in very good touch and if he keeps going for some more time, the Indians may find themselves in an uncomfortable position in the match.

19:21 Eight runs come off the fifth over. Bumrah managed to go without conceding a boundary but Finch and Maxwell are rotating the strike well. India will want to cross off this partnership before it gets more dangerous. Australia are now 36/1.

19:18 At the end of four overs, Australia are 28/1. The fourth over by Bhuvaneshwar was a quiet one and India will look to capitalise on it and slow down the Australian run rate.

19:11 Aaron Finch has quickly moved into double figures with three confident boundaries under his belt. After the end of three overs, Australia are 25/1. India has already bowled three bowlers in the form of Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Jaspreet Bumrah and Hardik Pandya.

19:07 Maxwell is the new batsman in as Bumrah comes in to bowl the second over.

19:03 Bhuvaneshwar Kumar strikes in the first over and what a strike it is! Well pitched and swinging slightly in. The danger man Warner is gone. (Australia 8/1)

19:02 The players have made their way out to the middle and things have gotten underway. David Warner starts things off with two beautiful boundaries.

18:57 Both teams are on the ground for their respective national anthems.

18:52 The pitch is expected to slightly favour the bowlers today as the dew will most likely keep the ball low and prevent batsmen from getting under it for the big hits.

New ball bowlers may expect some bounce initially, which can help them get early breakthroughs.

18:51 Australian skipper David Warner during the toss said that he wanted to bat first anyway on this wicket.

18:43 Let us take a look at the line ups for the two sides. India has chosen to play Shikhar Dhawan instead of Ajinkya Rahane and Axar Patel will make way for Kuldeep Yadav. The rest of the team is unchanged from the last ODI against Australia.

The Australian side will miss their skipper from the ODIs Steve Smith, who has been ruled out of the series due to an injury. Dan Christian will make an appearance in today's fixture. These are both teams' playing XI for today.

India:  Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli(c), Manish Pandey, MS Dhoni(w), Kedar Jadhav, Hardik Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Kuldeep Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Jasprit Bumrah.

Australia: David Warner(c), Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Daniel Christian, Tim Paine(w), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Andrew Tye, Adam Zampa, Jason Behrendorff
