PM Narendra Modi's visit to Gujarat just a fortnight before the most awaited festival has set the festive mood for the people there. Pictures from Vadnagar, which is the hometown of Prime Minister Modi was lit up on the eve of his visit. He said that the changes in the GST regime has given relief to small and medium businesses and has been hailed across the country as they kindled the festive mood of Diwali.

Modi is on a two-day visit to poll-bound Gujarat. He will lay foundation stones and inaugurate a number of projects. He is also scheduled to visit his birthplace Vadnagar for the first time after becoming prime minister. (PMO Twitter)
