Mumbai: Minutes before her tragic death on Wednesday evening, 20-year-old law intern Pallavi Vikamsey was seen talking on her mobile phone to someone at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT). The investigators are studying her Call Data Records (CDR) to ascertain if the last conversation coerced her to take extreme step.

A senior officer from Government Railway Police (GRP) Dadar said the parents weren’t aware of the reason that led Pallavi to take the step. Pallavi was found dead on the railway track between Parel and Curry Road stations. The officer has ruled out any ‘foul play’ in the case and dubbed it a ‘suicide’ case.

Pallavi fell off the train at 6:40 pm and as per the station master’s memo to carry her body to KEM hospital was 7:15pm. Her body was lying on the tracks between Parel and Curry Road stations for over 30 minutes. “Pallavi had texted message to her sister-in-law, saying ‘no one is responsible.’ However, her cell phone and handbag have not been recovered. The procedure to acquire CDR has been made,” said an officer from railway police, Dadar.
