Police say there is no evidence of forced entry into the house and suspect the killings could be a fallout of a property dispute.

Five persons including four women and a security guard were found murdered in Shahdara’s Mansarovar Park area on October 7 morning. The police are yet to identify the culprits.

The victims — an 86-year-old woman, her three daughters aged 56, 48 and 38, and their security guard — were stabbed to death at their residence, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad.  The police said that a PCR call was made around 7.30 a.m. after which forensics and crime team were called to the spot for inspection. "The entry was found to be friendly," said Ms. Prasad. As there was no evidence of forced entry into the house, police said someone known to the victims might have killed them. The motive behind the murders hasn’t been ascertained so far but the possibility of a property dispute is being probed among other angles.
