There will be no political considerations in my decisions, says Banwarilal Purohit

Governor said his actions would be guided by the Constitution and he would preserve and protect the Constitution at all costs.

Governor Banwarilal Purohit, who was sworn-in at the Raj Bhavan said on Friday that all his decisions he would take in office would be on merits and there would be “no political considerations” and would see “total transparency and cleanliness” in the State government.

During his brief interaction with journalists soon after his swearing-in ceremony at the Raj Bhavan, the Governor said his actions would be guided by the Constitution and he would preserve and protect the Constitution at all costs.

“All the decisions, which I am going to take, small or big, [there] will be no political consideration.. Governor’s office above politics everybody can be rest assured.. All the decisions will be on merits,” the Governor said.

Even as he said that he would “wholeheartedly” support the State government as for the development activities were concerned, the Governor said he would use his influence in Delhi for the welfare of the State.

“I will use my influence at Delhi. I have my good friends in almost all the Ministries. I will see that lot of development takes place, more funds are provided to our Tamil Nadu.. I will try my level best,” the Governor said.

“I will see that the administration is total transparency in administration, cleanness. That is my job to observe,” he added and further extended his greetings to all sisters and brothers of Tamil Nadu.
