24 teams. 6 venues. 52 games. 22 days. The FIFA U-17 World Cup is the event for which the entire country is waiting in anticipation with baited breath. Hosted across 6 venues in India, the tournament is expected to be a landmark event in the history of Indian Football commencing on October 6 at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi. The winner of the tournament will be decided after a round of 52 games (36 group stage + 16 eliminators) on 28 October, at Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan Stadium, Kolkata.
The football fever is well and truly on with the tournament set to kick-start next week. Along with the host city-India, talented youngsters from the best football teams in the world will be watched with the utmost scrutiny.
