BCC-42, SGGSCW win titles in boxing

Boxing Coaching Centre, Sector 42 claimed the overall title in the men’s category while Sri Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 won the overall trophy in the women’s category in the 41st Chandigarh State Boxing Championship and Chandigarh State Women Boxing Championship held at Sector 42 Sports Complex, Sector 42. Boxing Coaching Centre, Sector 42 won the men’s title with a total of 40 points while SD College, Sector 32 finished at the second spot with 26 points. Sri Guru Gobind Singh College for Women, Sector 26 claimed the women’s title with 13 points while MCM DAV College, Sector 36 claimed the second spot with 12 points.

In the women’s 48 Kg final, Rituz of Sector 42 Club ended the challenge of Gaganjot of DAV College, Sector 10 to claim the title. Gargi of SGGSCW, won the title in the women’s 51 Kg category .
