Three die in jeep-tractor collision

Palanpur: As many as three members of a family, including two women, were killed and six others injured after the the jeep in which they were travelling rammed into a tractor late on Thursday near Deesa in Banaskantha.


According to the police, some nine persons from Vahara village of Deesa were on their way to Khadosan village to attend a religious function when their jeep met with the accident near bridge on river Banas.


The injured were rushed to civil hospital in Deesa, while seriously injured were admitted to civil hospital in Palanpur.


The deceased were identified as Vihaji Thakor, Mehaulben Thakor and Hansaben Thakor, all hailing from Vahara village.
