Popular Front of India (PFI) general secretary C.P. Mohammed Basheer has described ‘love jihad’ and forceful conversion to Islam as mere campaigns being unleashed by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to impose its Hindutva agenda and make communal polarisation in society.
Mr. Basheer told reporters here on Thursday that the ‘jihadi and red terror’ campaign launched by the Sangh Parivar in the State was part of the extremist Hindu agenda aimed at diverting public attention from the flaws of the Central government such as demonetisation and the resultant economic slowdown. The allegation that the PFI had links with the Islamic State (IS) was baseless.
