Constable’s wife ends life

Vasco: A 25-year-old married woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at home. The deceased, Nandini Tikali, was married to police constable Narsim Tikali, who is attached to the anti-terrorist squad, Goa police. The couple were living with Narsim's parents at MES quaters, near Ram Mandir, Mangor hill, Vasco.
On Friday morning, when Nandini's husband and father-in-law left for work and her mother-in-law had gone for a bath, Nandini locked herself in her room. For the next couple of hours, she failed to open the door or respond to phone calls.
Vasco police broke open the door only to find Nandini already dead. The reason for the suicide is being investigated by the sub-divisional magistrate as the death took place within seven years of marriage.
