Judwaa 2 box office collection Day 8: Varun Dhawan film has earned Rs 98 crore.

It took Varun Dhawan’s Judwaa 2 only seven days to rake in over Rs 98 core at the box office. At a time when his contemporaries are struggling to rake in the moolah, Varun Dhawan has shattered records. The film is expected to give serious competitions to the newly released films, Chef, Victoria and Abdul and Tu Hai Mera Sunday.

“It is extremely heartening when you receive so much love. As an actor, you always have to entertain people. With Judwaa 2, our objective was to give everyone, across all age groups a very good time at the theaters where they laugh their hearts out,” Varun Dhawan said in a statement.

After content based films like ‘Shubh Mangal Saavdhan’, ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Bareily Ki Barfi’ dominated the box office, trade analysts opined that maybe audiences are no longer interested in masala fares. Right then, Varun Dhawan swooped in and proved everyone wrong. The actor even expressed his happiness as an artist.

“I feel satisfied as an artist that I have made someone happy while seeing our movie. I’m most happy that I got to team up with my dad again. He is probably the most successful director in the last 30 years,” said Varun.

He continued, “A big big thank you to the audiences for giving me and the entire team of Judwaa 2 this incredible moment and the biggest hit of my career.”
