Mahindra KUV100 facelift to launch in India on 10th October

Mahindra and Mahindra has confirmed the launch date of the KUV100 facelift in India. The Mahindra KUV100 facelift will be launched on 10th October, which is likely to be called KUV100 NXT. However, the company has not confirmed whether the car will be called the NXT or if it will retain the present nameplate. The KUV100 facelift will be similar to the previous model in terms of design and style, but will get cosmetic changes on the exterior and the interior. It will get an updated front bumper, a plastic body cladding around the fog lamps and faux skid plate finished in brushed aluminium at the front and rear. The rear is expected to feature a revised tail lamps with chrome surrounds and a revised bumper. The front grille will be similar to the one equipped on the Mahindra XUV500 and will also get a new gloss black and chrome finished 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The car manufacturer might also increase the length of the car from 3,675 mm to 3,700 mm.

The interior of the Mahindra KUV 100 is likely to remain largely unchanged and will feature the same six-seat layout, auto climate control, multi-function steering wheel and height adjustable driver seat. The higher versions are expected to get an all-black theme and silver inserts, while the lower variants will feature grey interiors. The company will also equip the car with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, while the Android Auto is likely to be missed out. The safety equipment will include dual-front airbags as standard. It is also expected that with the addition of new features on the Mahindra KUV100, the car manufacturer will slightly increase prices of the car.

Powering the Mahindra KUV100 facelift will be the same 1.2 litre petrol that produces 82 hp of power and 115 Nm of torque. The diesel variants will be powered by the 1.2 litre diesel engine that generates 77 hp and 190 Nm of torque. The engines will be paired to a five-speed manual gearbox and the company might launch an AMT too as an optional fitment.
