A bucket list of sorts for four friends who set out on a road-trip expecting the world to end in seven days, this attempted comedy is exasperating and tedious and makes you want the end to come much sooner than its divined here.
Sunny (Divyendu Sharma) frequently scams his Dad for pocket money, Rahul (Harshad Chopra) is a lonely rich kid, Asi aka Aseemananda (Kiku Sharda) has a flourishing Godman business to turn to, Priya (Priya Banerjee) is stuck with a thankless job and a lecherous Boss. They bump into an astronomer who warns them of impending doom- a week from now. What more reason did they need to break off their shackles and set out to have a whale of a time. Ah, I forget, they also managed to get a car loaded with cash, out of nowhere, to do the deed.
Unfortunately, it’s not a picnic for the audience who is treated to their silly, seemingly wild, but entirely unfunny and unpalatable antics. While the set up manages to work up some interest, the road-trip runs entirely flat and uninteresting. The writing is pithy and the direction goes berserk trying to drum up some fun. This is a bad idea with a bad run. Can’t imagine why anyone would waste hard earned money to experience it.
