A 25-year-old woman was allegedly raped and strangulated to death at Biharigarh road in Bhopa area here, the police said today.
The body of the woman was found in the fields by a farmer last evening, they said.
"Though the post-mortem report is still awaited, there are indications that the girl was first raped and then strangulated to death," Station House Officer (SHO) Vijay Singh said.
